I have had sight of the working draft Infrastructure Delivery Plan but it would be better for comment once the draft Local Plan is firmer and more details of costs can be included in the IDP. Other Comments The main contention relates to the impact of the proposed increase of 17,410 new properties to be built in Thanet with respect to the provision of educational and health needs as well as employment within the area. The Local Plan sets out the proposed areas which includes the Manston Airpo

Manston airport is designated for aviation use only and in my opinion it should remain as such. At the moment much freight destined for the UK goes to Holland and is then transported by lorry through the tunnel or by ferry to England. It goes this way because the slots available at Heathrow and Gatwick are very limited, with priority being given to passenger services. Reference Local Plan proposals, Birchington Having been to recent meetings and visited proposed areas, here are some of my thoughts "What lies beneath?" * Top quality agricultural soil – best use? * Bronze Age remains – digs = time (see Cleve Court Heard – 1990's – BHT have details) * (See Quex Park Eileen's Blog II and IIa) * Manston runway & close areas – around Cleve Court, Acol, there are reputedly, 8 acres of tunnels – 2nd WWar + remains of warfare? Sink holes? * Where is the water?

The High Court rejected all of Jelson

No development before infrastructure in place. It should be a statuary requirement.

The whole revised Local Plan is flawed and biased and is not creditable. The council have no tax payers money to implement any changes and their record historically of getting anything right confirms this. I object to this plan

I am now giving up on this, looking back on past aspirations and plans most of them came to nothing and of the few ideas that came to fruition they have always seem to have been half hearted which has led us to the state we are in now with anything that that the council has a hand in. I would add that is regardless of who is in power.
