Being a Ramsgate resident, I would like to register my opinion on the Local Plan. I fully support the reuse of the old Manston Airport site as a mixed use development and NOT as a Cargo Airport. The building of schools and surgeries and the good track record of SHP is a wonderful opportunity for Thanet. I would prefer to see regeneration of Ramsgate as a tourist destination - and not polluted by aircraft.

3.1. This new Policy simply states that: "All new development will be expected to fully meet it's infrastructure requirements, whether directly on site or by contribution to that provision elsewhere, and to comply with the provisions of the infrastructure delivery plan, in terms of provision of physical and social infrastructure. This provision should be made within the phasing program set out in the Draft Local Plan and Draft Infrastructure Delivery Plan. Any such requirements will be secu

RiverOak should be given the chance to operate freight services. Employment opportunities for the long term would arise. Retain London Manston Airport.

London Manston Airport should retain the name and remain a busy Airport, as it was. RiverOak could and would develop the Airport to become a valuable asset, for not only the people of Thanet but to show TDC what a Council can do when the public speak. Elected on a promise that has NOT been kept.

Manston is not a "former Airport site", the use of this land must remain as an airport the most valueable potential asset in Thanet is at risk of destruction by our useless U turning Council. I will lie in front of a bulldozer before seeing this site undergo a change of use.

Proposed number of homes is too high. Infrastructure would be unable cope. Drs. and other healthcare professionals find difficulty with increasing numbers year on year. Each of the towns and villages have new builds now and more to come. Westwood Cross and beyond is growing enough is enough. Healthcare, schools, buses, shops and leisure facilities would need to be provided. Is TDC thinking of Council Tax income rather than the communities.

17,837 additional homes is for too much building, these plans will sprall housing between Thanet's towns until there is no distinction or green space between them, not to mention the demographic nightmare of providing healthcare and schools for all these additional people, existing provision is severely overstretched as it is. Manston is not a "former Airport site", until it is built on (God forbid) it is an existing airport site awaiting re-instatement as an airfreight hub owned and managed by

Hume Planning disagrees with the adherence to National Prescribed Space Standard (March 2015) the housing market is undergoing significant change with regard to affordability and access to the market for first time buyers. Maximum flexibility should be provided to housebuilders to allow for new housing products to be tested and a reduction in space standards can still provide a quality product. Paragraph 11.4 is therefore objected to with regard to space standards.

Thanet infrastructure eg water, sewage, medical services, opportunities for decent employment, will not support an additional 17,140 houses.

I strongly protest tto your proposed use of top grade agricultural ground for the purpose of house building. There is a desperate need for the UK to be more self sufficient in farming production – already too much of our vegetables and fruit comes from abroad. Your proposal is grossly counter – productive
