This strategic site is within 250m of a safeguarded waste facility. Therefore, an Infrastructure Assessment will be required to determine whether the proposed strategic sites are in accordance with the safeguarding policies of the KMLWP. Therefore, an Infrastructure Assessment must be carried out to inform the masterplanning of a strategic housing site.

The County Council is concerned that the proposed modifications do not include any requirement for archaeological assessment to be included in the masterplan requirements. The County Council therefore recommends the inclusion of the following: 4) pre-design archaeological assessment and evaluation and provision, if necessary, for the preservation of significant archaeological remains
